Panasonic Life Solutions India has introduced the Roma Urban Smart Touch Series, marking its entry into the rapidly growing smart home and electrical solutions market in India. The new range of IoT-enabled switches is meant for smart homes that focus on convenience, energy efficiency, and stylish interiors.
The Roma Urban Smart Touch Switch is intended for urban dwellers, architects, and high-end residential projects. It enables users to control electrical appliances using three different interfaces: a mobile app, voice assistants, and a feather touch switch. This combination of different interfaces is meant to fill a major gap in the smart home market.
Retrofit ready solution for existing infrastructure:
One of the most important aspects of the new range of switches is that they are retrofit ready. The switches are compatible with existing infrastructure and do not require any new cabling or a separate gateway device.
The solution works on conventional 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks, allowing seamless connectivity within homes. The solution is QR code-based, with assisted in-app setup. Using the MirAIe platform, users can design their own automation scenes, schedule tasks, and control multiple devices with a single command.
Emphasis on cybersecurity and energy efficiency:
The Roma Urban Smart Touch Series is based on a cloud system that is owned and controlled by Panasonic India. The transfer of data between devices and the cloud is encrypted to reduce the risk of hacking and data theft. The switches can handle a variety of devices such as lighting, fans, air conditioners, and televisions. The in-built scheduling capabilities are expected to optimize energy usage and prevent wastage of energy, meeting the increasing need for energy-efficient homes.
The solution is available in glass and metal variants, which are optimized to provide maximum control in the same space as conventional switch plates. According to the company, users can experience 50 percent more control capacity in the same space.
With this new product launch, Panasonic Life Solutions India is expanding its foothold in the smart electricals and home automation category, meeting the rising need for comprehensive, secure, and scalable smart home solutions in the Indian market.
