TVS Motor uses Apache Mini to create future racing stars.

TVS Motor Company has provided 10 customized TVS Apache RR 200 Mini motorcycles to the Madras Motor Sports Club (MMSC) in order to begin a systematic training program aimed at kids aged 10 to 14 years old. The objective of this scheme is to groom future racing stars through professional coaching, safe riding skills and a clear pathway towards professional motorsports.

Systematic training based on safety:

This new TVS Apache Junior Program will be carried out at the Madras International Karting Arena (MIKA) through specially developed TVS Apache RR 200 Mini motorcycles available on rent within this program. The youth riders will learn all about racing – discipline, precision, control and safety, with the help of skilled instructors and TVS Racing legends.

The aim of this program is to ensure that the participants get ready for the next level of racing. This program allows riders to go from the Apache Junior Program (10-14 years) to the TVS One Make Championship (OMC) Rookie Category (15+ years) to RR 310 Expert Category to finally reach the TVS Racing International Championship.

On the launch of TVS Apache’s Mini Motorcycle, Vimal Sumbly, Head – Premium Business, TVS Motor Company, stated, “Racing has been more than just a sport at TVS Motor Company. We have over four decades of experience in fostering performance, precision and safety while developing India’s motorsport ecosystem. Considering that competitive racing will be held in accordance with FMSCI norms from the age of 15, this TVS Apache Junior Programme has been conceptualized keeping in mind the need for structured training programs for aspiring riders aged 10-14 years to train themselves in the world of riding with expert guidance in a controlled and safe environment. Featuring the TVS Apache RR 200 Mini Motorcycle at Madras International Karting Arena and guidance from the TVS Racing experts, this program has been conceived as a definitive platform for India’s racing champions of tomorrow.”

Enhancing India’s motorsport ecosystem:

As per TVS Motor, this new initiative has been introduced based on its four decade-long legacy of bringing motorsport closer to Indians. Alongside experiential initiatives like Asphalt gaming and KidZania activities, this Apache Junior Programme is aimed at inspiring young riders while instilling the culture of safe riding from a very young age.

With the TVS Apache brand celebrating two decades since inception with over 7 million riders in 90 countries, the organization stated that the program takes the company’s “Track to Road” approach further by integrating racing experience with developing talent to build the riders of tomorrow and motorcycles of tomorrow.
