TCS uses Google Cloud to open the Gemini Experience Center in Troy.

Industrywiz Daily updates

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has recently launched its seventh Gemini Experience Center (GEC) located at its Innovation Hub in Troy, Michigan, with Google Cloud as its partner. The newly launched centre is dedicated to the development of Physical AI technologies that can be tailored to the needs of the manufacturing industry. As part of its expansion plans, TCS is planning to set up 13 such GECs across the world by the end of 2026. Out of these, six new centres will be launched this year as part of its expansion plans.

Troy GEC and the scope of experimentation with Physical AI:

The newly launched Troy GEC will enable manufacturers across the world to experiment with and implement Physical AI technologies that can improve safety, quality, and operational efficiency within the industry. The centre is equipped with the TCS Physical AI Blueprint, which is an end-to-end framework that includes AI-powered quadruped and humanoid robotics technologies, which can be used to enable real-time operational insights and autonomous decision-making capabilities. The main areas of application of Physical AI technologies at the Troy GEC include autonomous surveillance, environmental anomaly detection, monitoring PPE usage, intelligent quality inspections, tracking progress, and prediction of equipment health.

Leadership insights on Physical AI:

Anupam Singhal, President – Manufacturing, TCS, stated, “Physical AI is the next big thing in the world of AI, as it is taking the intelligence to the edge and putting it into the real world of operations. With the launch of our Physical AI Gemini Experience Center for Manufacturing, we are helping manufacturers take the next leap forward by extending visibility and decision-making into the world that is difficult, risky, and inefficient for humans to access. Physical AI is designed with the human-in-the-loop approach and is working alongside the human workforce, making it safer and stronger. The biggest achievement is the creation of the future-ready world that is safe, adaptable, and aware.”

Google Cloud Partnership to Accelerate the Deployment of Physical AI:

Saurabh Tiwary, VP and General Manager, Cloud AI, Google Cloud, stated, “Our partnership with TCS is focused on accelerating the deployment of agentic AI where it can create the greatest value for industrial operations. With the launch of the Physical AI Gemini Experience Center, we are helping global manufacturers unlock the intelligence required to create autonomous, safe, and data-driven enterprises and fully optimize their business models with the best technology offered by Google Cloud.”

Expanding access through Gemini Enterprise:

The Troy centre plays an important role in TCS’ global innovation strategy in the area of AI-driven industrial transformation. It provides workshops for enterprises in order to improve the adoption of AI technology and enhance the performance of the shop floor and the AI platforms. TCS has set up six Global Experience Centers in various cities and aims at connecting startups, universities, and customers. The partnership with Google Cloud has been expanded in order to provide access to Gemini Enterprise and allow the integration of custom and third-party agents, empowering global enterprises through the provision of innovative solutions.
