Tata Power powers 414 million green miles in India

The EV network of Tata Power is instrumental in leading the charge for green mobility in India with its wide network of charging stations all across the country. Over 7.5 lakh EV charging sessions have been supported by Tata Power which have helped cover more than 414 million green miles with 50,000 tonnes of CO2 emission being saved in the process. Hence, Tata Power is playing a crucial role in India’s quest for sustainable mobility.

EV Charging expansion in India:

As Indians opt for electric vehicles because of their economical and environmentally friendly nature, there is an ever-increasing demand for EV charging stations. Tata Power is playing an important role in this regard as it already boasts of a large network of EV charging stations across the country.

Tata Power has supported more than 7.5 lakh EV charging sessions and provided over 414 million green miles to customers. More than 5,500 public EV charging stations have been established by Tata Power, which is available in more than 700 cities and towns throughout India.

Making EV ownership more convenient:

As part of its partnership with major automobile makers, Tata Power has also ventured into setting up home-based charging stations for EVs. Tata Power has established 2.3 lakhs home charging stations for ease of use and establishment of charging infrastructure in the country.

To further its network, Tata Power EZ Charge opened new charging stations in Kopa Mall in Pune, at Indian Oil Corporation stations on either side of Ahmedabad-Vadodara Highway, and a Shapoorji Pallonji Mini Hub in Kolkata, which houses six charging ports.

These steps will help increase access to charging stations along heavily traveled routes as well as cities.

EV growth further picks up steam:

The Indian electric vehicle market has continued to grow at a rapid pace, surpassing 2.55 million unit sales in FY2026. All four vehicle segments witnessed double-digit growth in sales figures, with a sharp rise seen in the demand for emissions-free passenger vehicles.

With electric mobility gaining more acceptance across the world, the growing charging network provided by Tata Power is ensuring that adequate infrastructure can keep up with rising demand.
