In an effort to showcase the capabilities of accessibility and mobility, Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has informed of the completion of para-athlete Chandeep Singh’s 7,000 plus kilometres long cross-country expedition as a part of their ‘Samarth by Hyundai’ program. Riding the modified Hyundai CRETA by making use of only his feet, Singh drove from Jammu to Kanyakumari and then back to earn his entry into the Golden Book of Records for the longest expedition by foot-driven vehicle in the country.
The expedition was conducted to highlight the scope of accessibility and mobility in today’s world and the significance of such means of transportation for disabled people.

The program is a component of the ‘Samarth by Hyundai’ campaign by Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL), which aims to create an accessible mobility environment for people with disabilities. As per the company, the initiative aims to bring about inclusivity through infrastructure, assistive technology, para sports promotion, awareness campaigns and strategic collaborations.
While congratulating on this feat, Virat Khullar, Head of Marketing at HMIL, remarked that this trip showcased the dedication of the company to make mobility accessible to everyone and help people in realizing their dreams.

Chandeep Singh commented after completing the expedition and recalled that the journey was a result of years of planning. He emphasized that it was done to prove that determination, appropriate technology and assistance could help overcome any obstacle. He stated that the modified Hyundai CRETA delivered consistent performance throughout the expedition and appreciated the support provided by the Samarth by Hyundai initiative and Hyundai dealerships during the journey.
Hyundai Motor India Ltd added that the successful completion of the expedition further strengthens their efforts towards providing accessible mobility and equal opportunities through their social initiatives. They added that Samarth by Hyundai will be supporting programmes related to improving accessibility and providing independence to the disabled people.
