The new aluminium extrusion plant at Kota, Rajasthan, has been set up by Fenesta, thus improving the company’s manufacturing capabilities and entering the world of aluminium extrusion.
The aluminium extrusion plant will benefit the aluminium window and façade businesses of Fenesta by adding aluminium extrusion capabilities. The initiative will aid Fenesta in meeting their aluminium requirements and enhance manufacturing efficiency and will also decrease their reliance on third-party extrusion suppliers.
Strengthening aluminium capabilities:
With an internal aluminium extrusion facility, Fenesta hopes to develop new aluminium systems quickly. The integrated capability will also allow the company to quickly react to changing market requirements. Fenestration is increasingly being recognised as an important growth segment for windows, façades, and other products. Fenesta intends to capitalise on the growth opportunity offered by aluminium segment through the new facility.

Vertical of new business:
The new facility at Kota will be used not just for the aluminium requirements of the company itself, but also for supplying aluminium extrusions to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and others. This represents a new business vertical for Fenesta – that of aluminium extrusion. At the same time, it is a new opportunity for the company to diversify from its current products, namely windows and doors.
The company currently has a dealer network of over 400 outlets in India. The company also has a growing international presence in Nepal, Bhutan, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Ghana and Kenya. The company has established its market position based on uPVC and aluminium windows and doors.
