Chambal Fertilisers is now making weak nitric acid at their Gadepan plant in Kota, Rajasthan. This is a big deal because the acid is super important for creating complex fertilisers and other chemical products.
Increasing the capacity for internal production :
By making the acid themselves, Chambal wants to run operations more smoothly and make sure they always have a steady supply. It boosts their productivity and lines up with the country’s goals for growing food. Plus, it helps create sturdy supply chains for stuff farmers need.
This new project should also give other nearby chemical and fertiliser makers access to weak nitric acid. That means it could strengthen industry ties and shore up supply stability across India’s farming input network.
