Calcom Vision’s products in this category include All-in-One (AIO) Solar Street Light, Semi-Integrated Solar Street Light, Remote Monitoring System (RMS) Solar Street Light, as well as many other outdoor lighting products.
Good Revenue Prospects:
Customer interest is seen early in. Over the coming five years, this business vertical can generate revenues of up to 20 percent of the total revenues for Calcom Vision Ltd. The expansion of Calcom Vision Ltd into this business will be inline with the increasing usage of solar lighting for highways, smart city projects, urban infrastructure, and rural electrification efforts.
Leadership highlights change:
Abhishek Malik, Executive Director at Calcom Vision Ltd., states, “The new India requires a different sort of manufacturing partner; one that has depth of design expertise rather than merely large scale production facilities. That’s where we’re headed. Our venture into solar outdoor lighting is an important milestone for Calcom in being the chosen ODM partner of leading brands in industrial/outdoor lighting category.”
Manufacturing growth :
The company has increased its manufacturing footprint from 15,000 to 30,000 sq.m. to manufacture 10,000-15,000 units of solar street lighting products per year. It already has 11 SMT lines, 10 assembly lines, and a dedicated plastic extrusion and powder coating unit. The manufacturing unit caters to the needs of the solar outdoor lighting segment, along with the existing indoor lighting solutions and smart lighting. Calcom Vision is working on adding diversity to its product portfolio through various configurations and plans to enter the battery pack manufacturing vertical with focus on solar applications and the EV industry.
LED Product Diversification:
It recently tied up with Goldmedal Electricals for manufacturing LED-based products, expected to earn the firm Rs 20-25 crores per year. The firm is determined to improve its competence and product line in LEDs as well as new technology segments such as solar and EV solutions.
