Apollo Micro Systems has won fresh orders valued at Rs 213.39 crore from the Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO), defence public sector undertakings (PSUs) and private-sector clients. With these orders, the order backlog of the company stands at Rs 1,704 crore as of August 2026.
These orders have come at a time when Apollo Micro Systems is increasing its presence in India’s defence manufacturing value chain by expanding beyond the realm of defence electronics into weapon platform subsystems.
Order inflow aids expansion:
Apollo Micro Systems said that the latest orders have enhanced its capabilities in the area of defence-related systems and also aided its growth strategy. Besides, the inflow of orders along with the performance in Q1 FY27 has further boosted the company’s growth plans.
The order backlog is also a reflection of the demand for indigenously designed and manufactured defence electronics and subsystems.
Acquisitions enhance the capabilities of the company in defence:
Apollo Micro Systems is also making strides in the defence industry after successfully completing its acquisition of Premier Explosives.
This acquisition is anticipated to expand the capabilities and product offerings of the company in the defence value chain. The company had been striving to develop its capability and participation in various stages of development and manufacture of defence systems.
With these recent contracts, the company now has a book value of orders worth Rs 1,704 crore.
