TCS AI push showing tangible results: CEO

Industrywiz Daily updates

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has drawn up a very strategic approach to make the company the biggest technology services company that harnesses the power of AI worldwide, as the current trend of prioritizing technological spending by businesses worldwide is changing. As per the CEO of Tata Consultancy Services, K. Krithivasan, businesses worldwide are quickly abandoning the trend of doing the usual digital transformation and instead adopting the approach of becoming AI-first businesses.

Krithivasan also pointed out that to succeed in this new era of transformation, it will be imperative to require both deep technology expertise and strong domain and context awareness, and also to practice responsible AI. This, according to Krithivasan, will enable them to deliver effective business results to their clients.

The focus of TCS in the field of Artificial Intelligence is already bearing fruits. In an internal company email written on 1 January 2026, Krithivasan informed that TCS has already reached $1.5 billion of annualized revenues from services offered through Artificial Intelligence. What’s worth considering is that 54 of TCS’s 60 biggest customers in the entire world have already declared TCS as their partner of preference related to Artificial Intelligence transformation projects. Moreover, TCS has accomplished more than 5,000 Artificial Intelligence engagements and over 200 Artificial Intelligence platform deployments.

To aid this massive AI drive, TCS has invested heavily in people development and technology build-out. All sales and pre-sales staff were trained to be AI savvy so that AI-driven solutions are inculcated from a very early stage of engagement with their clients. Moreover, around 180,000 employees within their organisation have enhanced AI skills to further bolster TCS’s capability to provide complex AI-driven end-to-end solutions.
