Sandisk launched the SANDISK Optimus™ at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2026), marking a new naming convention for the internal SSD product line. The naming of this new line of products highlights the performance capabilities of the product and the legacy of the organization in the field of flash memory. The SANDISK Optimus™ line of products consists of three different variants: SANDISK Optimus™, SANDISK Optimus™ GX, and SANDISK Optimus™ GX PRO. The product lines were designed with the innovative DNA of Sandisk.

Our products range across several different market segments, and in making this change, we are making it even easier for consumers to pick out the right solution for their needs.”
The SANDISK Optimus™ portfolio rounds out customer knowledge of performance tiers and navigation of the products. It consists of three product lines: The SANDISK Optimus™ lineup is targeted toward content creators that want both speed and value, The SANDISK Optimus™ GX is geared more towards gamers where fast load times are very important alongside efficiency. The top-of-line model will be the SANDISK Optimus™ GX PRO, targeting developers and professionals who require maximum performance for AI and other high demanding applications. The lines all previously had models under WD branding.
