MIC Electronics Ltd has formed a strategic partnership with GHS Technologies GmbH, a Swiss-based organization. Under this partnership, the two firms have agreed to design, manufacture, and supply advanced material handling solutions to the Indian market.
The partnership has now moved to the execution phase following the initiation of an industrial client engagement. After technical discussions were held between the two firms, the technical documentation was transferred to MIC Electronics for manufacturing evaluation. Currently, the technical team from MIC Electronics is reviewing the documentation before the process is escalated to the first order. Once this process is validated and approved, the project is set to move to commercial production levels.
From Technical Review to Scalable Production:
The partnership between the two firms has been designed to follow a structured roadmap from sample to scale. Once the first order is validated, the partnership is set to move to larger supply contracts targeting the automotive sector, manufacturing industry, warehouses, logistics providers, and energy sector.
India has been identified as a key market for GHS Technologies in light of the rising investment in infrastructure and industrial development. India’s material handling systems market is expected to grow at more than 10 percent CAGR over the next 10 years. Globally, the industry is worth over USD 200 billion. India is one of the fastest-growing markets in this industry.
Expanding Manufacturing Capabilities in India:
For MIC Electronics, this alliance represents an entry into the industrial material handling space. MIC Electronics contributes its electronics manufacturing capability, systems integration expertise, and engineering execution strength to this alliance. Their contribution to this alliance is to transform engineering specifications in line with European standards into systems manufactured in India.
GHS Technologies adds depth and expertise in delivering precision material handling solutions to meet stringent quality standards of Europe. The technical collaboration is already in place, and the partnership aims to extend this association to other customers in the future.
Rakshit Mathur, CEO of MIC Electronics Ltd, said, “This partnership aligns with our strategic intent to expand and diversify into industrial automation and material handling systems, and this validation is already in progress.”
The deal places MIC Electronics into India’s rapidly expanding industrial automation and infrastructure ecosystem and implies a manufacturing-led expansion for the company.
