Exicom Tele-Systems Launches Hyderabad EV Plant, Tripling Production Capacity:
Exicom Tele-Systems Limited has commenced commercial production at its new manufacturing facility located in Hyderabad, Telangana, on March 16, 2026. The new manufacturing facility will produce EV battery charging stations, EV chargers, Li-ion battery packs, and SMPS.
The new manufacturing facility will triple the company’s current manufacturing capacity for EV chargers and battery packs. This will allow the company to meet the demand for electric vehicles within India.
The Hyderabad plant indicates a capital outlay of ₹170 crore. Funding for this substantial expansion was also partly provided by the funds from the company’s Initial Public Offering (IPO). Earlier, it was also indicated that trial production will start in late 2025.
This is a strategic move by Exicom to enhance its manufacturing capabilities to further consolidate its market position as India moves rapidly towards electric mobility.
Exicom is facing stiff competition in the EV charger market, which may affect their profits. The company’s progress is also dependent on the continued expansion of the Indian EV market.
Exicom is operating in a competitive environment. Tata Power has a large number of EV chargers. Another company, Servotech Power Systems, is expanding its DC chargers. ABB India, a global company, also manufactures EV chargers in the country.
Going forward, the progress of the Hyderabad plant’s production, how the company uses the additional capacity to meet market demand, and the contribution of the Hyderabad plant to the company’s future profits will be monitored. In addition, the progress of the Indian EV market will also be monitored.
