Eicher Trucks and Buses has reached a major milestone with its Eicher Pro X EV, which has become the first electric commercial vehicle to successfully complete the challenging Kashmir to Kanyakumari route, setting four records recognized by the India Book of Records (IBR). The journey, conducted from January 20 to January 26, 2026, covered more than 4,000 kilometers in six days with a full load.
Overcoming varied terrains and climatic conditions:
The Eicher Pro X EV traveled through varied terrains and climatic conditions in India, ranging from the Himalayan region, the plains, to the Deccan Plateau. During the entire journey, the vehicle relied on a public charging infrastructure network available through the MyEicher App, with an IBR adjudicator confirming adherence to route requirements, loading capacity, charging points, and total journey time. This successful journey is in line with India’s Net Zero emission targets and Eicher’s efforts to promote sustainable mobility solutions in the country.
