Bharat1.AI is developing the world’s first AI city that prioritises humanity.

Industrywiz Daily updates

Bharat1.AI has launched a very ambitious vision for the creation of what it calls the world’s first ‘humanity-first’ AI City in Bengaluru. This vision was launched at the India AI Impact Summit, and the project will kick off with the launch of the B1 AI Superpark, which is a large research campus designed for the development of AI in the real world. Could the city of Bengaluru be the testing ground for the development of safer and more reliable AI systems?

A very ambitious vision for AI in the real world:

Bharat1.AI launched a very ambitious vision for the development of AI in the real world at the India AI Impact Summit. The vision is for the creation of an ‘AI City’ in Bengaluru that is focused on the development of AI systems in a structured real-world environment, as opposed to developing AI systems based on internet-scale datasets.

The project is a response to the growing need for AI safety, reliability, and alignment as artificial intelligence continues to transition from research labs to real-world applications. According to Bharat1.AI, the next generation of agentic and physical AI systems will demand greater real-world validation before they can be widely used.

B1 AI superpark takes the first step:

The first step of this vision will come to life in the form of the B1 AI Superpark, a 500,000 sq ft. AI innovation and research campus located in Sarjapura, Bengaluru. The campus will be able to accommodate more than 10,000 innovators, researchers, and engineers from startups, universities, research institutions, and technology companies.

The first phase of the project will be dedicated to the development of universal basic intelligence frameworks, city-scale AI models, and validation systems for agentic and physical AI. The campus will provide high-density computing and connectivity of up to 400 Gbps to leading AI cloud platforms, allowing for large-scale experimentation with low latency.

The initial research partners for this project include some of the leading institutions in India, such as the Airawat Research Foundation (IIT Kanpur), IISc’s Safety, Privacy & AI Research Centre (SPARC), BITS Pilani, IIT Ropar, and the iSPIRT Foundation.
