The new AGV-CPO laser scan head combines performance and value in the best way for the broadest set of laser applications. Since the AGV-CPO is the entry level version of our high-performance 2-axis laser scan heads, it incorporates all the CORE performance features of the AGV-HPO and AGV-XPO laser scanners, in addition to offering 22-bit resolution and low thermal drift. Aerotech Inc broadened its line of two-axis laser scan heads with the release of the AGV-CPO. This new product ensures improved resolution, stability, and scalability in a more competitively priced laser offering.

A new entry point to high-performance laser scanning

Aerotech offers an affordable solution for a high-performance scan head with the AGV-CPO CORE Performance 2-Axis Laser Scan Head. The AGV-CPO comes equipped with the same set of core performance parameters offered by the AGV-HPO and AGV-XPO systems, plus it boasts a high resolution of 22 bits. It is meant to facilitate a variety of laser micromachining operations while still retaining precision.

Scalable Performance Without Additional Complexity

Since the control hardware and performance specifications of the AGV-CPO are the same as those of other high-quality Aerotech scanners, customers do not need to invest in control hardware when upgrading their systems.

The essential performance characteristics of the CORE are: single controller design and implementation based on the Aerotech Automation1 platform, precision and dynamic performance achieved through the use of digital optical encoders, Infinite Field of View for seamless operation with the motorized stages, Position Synchronized Output for precision laser firing, and very low thermal drift aided by cooling.

The AGV-CPO is applicable for use in Research & Development, Medical Devices, Electronics, Semiconductors, and other Additive Manufacturing applications.
