Ramco Systems has confirmed that Pem-Air, which offers FAA and EASA-certified engine MRO services and engine accessories repair, has chosen Ramco Aviation Software as the software platform for its engine MRO.
Pem-Air, headquartered in Brooksville, Florida, is currently working on building a larger engine portfolio including GE90, Trent 700 and next generation engines such as CFM LEAP. Ramco Aviation Software will enable Pem-Air to manage its engine MRO for this portfolio.
The software will enable functionality for maintenance planning, engine maintenance, supply chain management, quality & compliance, engineering and finance. This will facilitate connectivity among activities in the shop visit cycle, while Ramco Anywhere mobile applications will allow technicians to use digital task cards and electronic sign-off forms.
AI-based capabilities that will be able to assist with MRO workflow:
The solution will include contracting and configuration management, work scoping and production planning, marshalling and kitting, technical publications, as well as staffing and workload optimization.
AI capabilities will also be a part of the solution. Ramco’s Service Bulletin Agent will process information from Service Bulletins and Airworthiness Directives in order to create Engineering Orders with all the necessary parameters. The users will have access to generative AI assistants for reviewing predefined reports and keeping track of the real-time operations status.
The platform will also be able to suggest actions that should be taken to fix the maintenance discrepancy based on the previous fixes. Ramco says that this will help to standardize decision-making process among the technicians and solve maintenance problems quicker.
According to Virgil Pizer, CEO of Pem-Air, the company needs the solution that will be able to help with its growth and the choice of Ramco was influenced by its lifecycle coverage and MRO engine experience.
