The Company is entering into the field of Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBC) through the setting up of an ultra-modern, completely automatic plant that is anticipated to go live in Q2 FY27. The move represents a breakthrough in terms of product diversity by the Company. IBCs are large-scale containers which can be used to store and transport bulk liquid, semi-solid, paste, or solid material in various industries such as chemicals, pharmaceuticals, food & beverages, agrochemicals, and specialities because of their efficiency and reusability.
High-quality manufacturing with global standards:
The IBCs produced by Mitsu Chem Plast will feature quality construction using strict adherence to international standards using HDPE inner bottles and steel cages. Full automation will enable consistency in terms of uniform wall thickness and dimensioning.
Efficiency with high volume integrated facilities :
The upcoming IBC plant will constitute a significant capital expenditure and a strategic move in itself, integrating blow molding and assembly to facilitate large-scale manufacturing. The project is consistent with the growing requirements of bulk packaging within the Indian market and the worldwide trend toward the use of standard, recyclable bulk liquid tanks.
