Mahindra launches a new line of rotavators

Industrywiz Daily updates

Mahindra has introduced its new range of rotavators, which are part of its farm equipment division. It has introduced an updated design for its equipment, along with an enhanced mast structure, for heavy duty tillage operations.

The Mahindra Rotavator range will be part of the heavy duty category, which will be covered under the Mahavator and Mahavator HD range, with widths ranging from 4 to 9 feet. It has been designed based on market assessment and farmer needs, ensuring equipment stability for operations in different types of agricultural fields.

Engineering focus on durability and performance:

The enhanced mast structure will provide equipment stability, as it is designed to be wider, ensuring better load distribution. It will reduce wear and tear of the equipment, as it will be able to handle heavy soil engagement.

The new range is developed to perform in challenging tillage conditions, providing better handling and long-term durability. The new series will be rolled out through the company’s network of Mahindra dealerships across India. Although the new range will eventually replace the company’s existing rotavator models, the company will also continue to offer its current product portfolio to cater to the varied needs of farmers.

The rotavators will be manufactured at Mahindra’s plants in Nabha, Punjab, and Zaheerabad, Telangana, and will be a part of the company’s Make in India initiative in the agricultural equipment segment.

Limited edition models and smart farming integration:

As part of the rotavator launch, Mahindra has also introduced limited edition models of the rotavators, available in tricolor inspired paint schemes such as Metallic Orange, Everest White, and Metallic Green. These will be available in certain variants such as Mahavator HD, Supervator, and Gyrovator ZLX+.

The company has also introduced its intelligent rotavator, now available in the company’s Tez e range. The intelligent rotavator is equipped with Bluetooth-enabled connectivity, enabling the transfer of real-time information to the mobile application. This allows for smart farming integration.

With farm mechanisation gaining momentum in India, companies are placing more emphasis on design, digitalisation, and productivity. Mahindra’s latest range of rotavators is a testimony to its commitment to investing in farm machinery innovation.
