Stäubli has also announced an expansion of its manufacturing plant in Bangalore with an investment of $10 million to increase the production of solar PV connectors. This will help the company meet the growing demand for quality solar connectors in the domestic as well as international markets.

Boosting local solar manufacturing capacity:

Stäubli’s Bangalore plant will be equipped with state-of-the-art automated assembly lines and improved quality control processes. The plant will manufacture MC4-Evo1 and MC4-Evo2 connectors, which are essential components used to connect solar panels to inverters and balance of system equipment.

The expansion will enable Stäubli to meet the increasing demand for quality solar connectors in the Indian market. At the same time, it will also enable the company to meet the demand for solar connectors in the international market.

Pledge to Make in India and international expansion:

Gerald Vogt, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Stäubli Group, commented, “India is an integral part of Stäubli’s global expansion and manufacturing plans. This investment will enhance our global supply chain and help us serve our customers worldwide with our high-quality and sustainable PV connector solutions.”

The expansion reiterates Stäubli’s strong commitment to the growth of the Indian renewable energy sector and industrialization, in line with the ‘Make in India’ initiative.

Sustainable business and future-focused innovation:

Gurupad Bhat, Managing Director, Stäubli Tec Systems India, said, “This expansion reiterates our strong commitment to the Indian renewable energy sector. By enhancing our manufacturing, engineering, and people development capabilities in India, we are supporting the solar sector with globally competitive solutions.”

The plant combines energy-efficient production processes, is a zero-discharge plant, and will enable faster, market-specific innovation. The production at the expanded Bangalore plant is scheduled to start in January 2026, thus further enhancing Stäubli’s position in the rapidly growing renewable energy infrastructure ecosystem in India and around the world.
