Kosol Energie has pledged 90,000 crore rupees towards renewable energy projects during the 2026 edition of the summit, indicating that the firm intends to enter solar manufacture, drawing out green hydrogen, while emphasizing the importance of Gujarat as a renewable energy center in India.
Focus on solar, green hydrogen, ammonia:
Kosol Energie, a leading solar manufacturing and renewable energy contractor from India, signed a Memorandum of Agreement at the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2026 to invest Rs 90,000 Crores in renewable energy projects. The Memorandum was signed in presence of PM Modi and CM Patel.
The areas of investment will include solar manufacturing, green hydrogen, and ammonia production. Within the purview of the investment proposal, Kosol will also set up solar module manufacturing units, research facilities, renewable parks, as well as other ‘green energy ecosystems.’
Jobs and Gujarat’s Clean Energy Goals:
With the proposed projects, over 100,000 jobs are likely to be created in the region. This large-scale development will further enhance the state of Gujarat in terms of being an benchmark in the renewable energy sector in India.
Nevertheless, the initiative also seems to fit with a number of national priorities, such as increasing our domestic manufacturing capabilities as well as having a robust supply chain in clean energy.
Alignment with India’s climate targets:
While emphasizing the importance of this investment, Mr. Kalpesh Kalthia, Chairman and Managing Director of Kosol Energie Ltd., said, “Kosol sees renewable energy as a key driver of energy security and economic growth.”
This commitment supports India’s climate targets by supporting the country’s ambition to get to 500 gigawatts of non-fossil fuel-based power by 2030 – another step towards creating a low-carbon and an energy-secure future for India.
