Waaree Energies Ltd is the first Indian company to manufacture more than 1 GW of solar panels in one month; it is reportedly reaching this target in November 2025. The company, based in Mumbai, said Wednesday that they had created this record.
The feat was made possible by the fully automated, vertically integrated manufacturing facilities and state-of-the-art production lines that operate round-the-clock at the company. Waaree currently has 19.7 GW domestic capacity and 2.6 GW US capacity, taking the total to 22.3GW globally.
Executive Director Sunil Rathi said the milestone reflects the company’s technological capabilities and customer confidence, as India marches towards its 500 GW target of renewable energy. He underscored that Waaree will continue to drive innovation and scale in the sector.
